Peter Escarcega
Over the past 16 years, Peter has honed his craft alongside some of the brightest minds in storytelling and animation. Beginning his journey in the world of video game cinematics — with credits on Halo: Reach, Harry Potter, and Sleeping Dogs — his talent and vision soon opened doors to a successful tenure at Mattel.
At Mattel, Peter played a pivotal role in reimagining the Barbie brand across multiple productions — serving as Associate Producer on Barbie Dreamtopia (25 episodes), Barbie: Star Light Adventure, and Barbie: Dolphin Magic, and as Animation Technical Supervisor on Barbie: Spy Squad and Barbie & Her Sisters in a Puppy Chase — helping empower an iconic character and inspire young girls and women around the world.
During the pandemic, Peter joined forces with acclaimed director Rob Minkoff (The Lion King, The Haunted Mansion, Stuart Little) to produce Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank — a visually stunning family action-comedy starring Michael Cera, Samuel L. Jackson, and Ricky Gervais, executive produced by the legendary Mel Brooks. He also served as Post Producer on the documentary Turn Every Page (2022).
Since Paws of Fury, Peter has been focused on building myth. and developing its current slate — including two animated features, an animated series co-created with rock legend Nikki Sixx, and several other exciting projects in active development.
